AAP Bridge is an online platform that allows users to connect and collaborate with others within the AAP consortium network and beyond. Users can build their profile, create posts, share articles and research, and find or post grants and fellowships. Connections can be made between users, based on shared interest in research or funding opportunities, which allows for direct messaging among team members to streamline collaboration across the consortium.
AAP Bridge is open to any staff, student, or faculty member at an AAP consortium member institution. All you need to sign up is your institutional email address. Users not within the consortium are able to join via an invitation from the AAP management team.
Users can indicate that they are interested in a grant/funding opportunity they find on AAP Bridge by checking the “Interested in this grant?” box. This will signal to other users that you may be interested in teaming up to respond to the call. This can be done by clicking the “Start a collaborative group” on the grant page and inviting interested users to the group. This is a simple and efficient way to find and respond to funding calls with other interested applicants from across AAP member universities.
AAP Bridge will be a constantly evolving and improving platform, with regular updates and implementation of new features. Later this year, the Bridge will undergo a systemwide upgrade that will showcase a visual overhaul and new features including calendar functions for events, a people suggestion system to help users find people they know or would want to know, and file sharing.
